1. BTH Scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

For the academic year 2022/2023 BTH will offer two scholarship programmes:

  1. BTH scholarship programme for prospective students

BTH scholarship programme for prospective students is available for citizens from non-EU/EEA countries who are required to pay tuition fees for Swedish university education. Applicants to distance education at BTH are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

This scholarship programme offers scholarships covering tuition fees in part. The level of tuition fee reduction is normally 50%. No more than one scholarship from this programme can be awarded for one person. The scholarships are granted on the basis of academic excellence. Priority is given to applicants with the BTH study programme as their first choice.

2. BTH scholarship programme for current students.

BTH will award a number of scholarships corresponding to partial reduction of the tuition fee to students with excellent academic performance during the first part of their studies at Blekinge Institute of Technology.

In order to be eligible to apply for this BTH scholarship you have to be registered as a student on campus based programme at BTH, and studied at least one term on this programme. You also have to be required to pay tuition fee for the remaining part of your programme.

This scholarship is granted on the basis of academic performance at BTH and if needed to distinguish, previous academic education results can be considered. The scholarship will not be paid directly to students; instead it will

  • The scholarships will cover your tuition fee in part, and do not cover your living expenses.

2. Chalmers University of Technology scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

Scholarships are a great source of funding for Master’s students who are liable to pay tuition fees. Some of these are administrated by Chalmers and others by external institutions. Additional scholarships may be appended to the list and applicants are therefore encouraged to check this webpage regularly.

There is a separate application for scholarships administrated by Chalmers. You can apply after you have submitted your programme application at universityadmissions.se, since you will have to identify yourself with that application number.

The scholarships that are listed below are applicable to prospective students only. You apply prior to the first academic year at Chalmers, it is not open to current students. The scholarship offers are valid for 2 years of study, under certain conditions. The conditions are outlined in the Scholarship Regulations.

3. Dalarna University scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

Every year, Dalarna University awards partial scholarships to a number of its new international, fee-paying Master’s students who have proven themselves to be outstanding in their educational endeavours.

The scholarships go directly towards a reduction in your tuition fees and will cover between 10 and 50 percent of your total tuition fees. The amount that you are awarded is automatically deducted in set amounts each semester over the duration of your programme.

4. Halmstad University scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

Applicants to Master’s programme studies at Halmstad University have the opportunity to apply for two different scholarships, one offered by Halmstad University and one offered by the Swedish Institute.

Each year Halmstad University offers a number of scholarships to students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland with the requirement to pay tuition fee. These scholarships may be granted to students within any field of study applying to our Master’s programmes at Halmstad University.

The Halmstad University Scholarship covers 25% or 50% of the tuition fee and will be deducted from the tuition fee. The scholarship will not cover living costs and there are no grants for family members.

5. Jönköping University scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

Students admitted to JU bachelor or master programmes have the opportunity to obtain a scholarship and/or financial support. Below you can find useful information about the different options according to the country you come from and programme level.

Jönköping University offers scholarships on behalf of the Swedish government. The scholarships, intended for students who pay tuition fees, will cover a percentage of the fee for the duration of the programme.

6. KTH Royal Institute of Technology scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

The KTH Scholarship covers the full tuition fee of a one or two year master’s programme. In 2022, 13 % of the scholarship applicants admitted to a programme were nominated for the KTH Scholarship (75 out of 564). The selection process for the scholarship focuses on academic excellence and drive to contribute to sustainable development.

The KTH Scholarship covers the tuition fee at KTH for the first and the second year, provided that the study results during the first year are satisfactory. The scholarship does not include living costs.

7. Karlstad University scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

The Karlstad University Global Scholarship programme is aiming at top academic students from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who are required to pay tuition fees for studies.

Scholarships cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fees. The value of the scholarship is stated in the notification of scholarship for each scholarship holder. The scholarship value is deducted from the tuition fees of the programme for which you are awarded a scholarship. Please note that the Karlstad University Global Scholarships do not cover living costs.

To be able to finance your stay in Sweden and get a residence permit for studies you need to show that you have funds for the total study period the first time you apply for a residence permit. For further information contact the Swedish Migration Board.

8. Karolinska Institutet scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

There are many Swedish, European and international foundations that award scholarships and grants. The rules for different scholarships and grants can vary – some are intended to help meet living costs, others fund tuition fees (for non EU/EEA citizens) and still others can be used for various educational costs. 9. Kristianstad University scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

The scholarship will be awarded to citizens of a country outside the EU/EEA with the requirement of paying tuition fee for studies at Kristianstad University. If granted a scholarship, it will include a full or partial reduction of the tuition fee. Keep in mind that these scholarships do not cover your living costs.

You are not eligible for a Kristianstad University Scholarship if you have not paid the application fee to Universityadmissons.se for the programme you wish to study. 

Priority will be given to students who:

  • applied in the first instance to Kristianstad University and on time in accordance with the national admission round
  • have Kristianstad University as their first choice
  • have studied at Bachelor’s level at Kristianstad University and are applying for Master programmes
  • have excellent study merits and good proficiency in English

Applications that are not filled in correctly will not be taken into consideration.

10. Linköping University scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

Linköping University (LiU) offers a limited number of scholarships to outstanding international students. For some programmes and nationalities, it is also possible to apply for a scholarship through the Swedish Institute. There are also other funding opportunities for studies in Sweden.

The LiU International Scholarship is aimed at supporting international master’s degree students with significant academic potential who are required to pay tuition fees. The tuition fees for a student awarded a LiU International Scholarship are reduced by 25, 50, or 75%. We offer a limited number of these scholarships to new students. 

11. Linnaeus University scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

Each year Linnaeus University offers scholarships to outstanding students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland through the programme “Linnaeus University Scholarships” and “Linnaeus University Scholarship for Current Students”

Linnaeus University offers two differens scholarship programmes for the moment, Linnaeus University Scholarship and Linnaeus University Scholarship for Current Student.

Linnaeus University Scholarship programme is offered for students who study master programmes. Students can only apply for this scholarship before commencing the programme. 

12. Luleå University of Technology scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

Luleå University of Technology (LTU) offers two new scholarships for 2023 aimed at top academic students. This applies to the bachelor programme in Mineral Resource Engineering and the master programme in Electrification.

  1. LKAB-scholarship for students applying to the international bachelor programme in Mineral Resource Engineering.  
  2. LTU-scholarship for students applying to the master programme in Electrification.

The scholarships are granted on the basis of academic excellence. Priority is given to applicants that have chosen one of the programmes as their first choice.

13. Lund University scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

The Lund University Global Scholarship is an academic excellence award targeting top students from all countries outside the EU/EEA. Students who have made a complete application for a degree programme are invited to apply for this tuition scholarship after the admissions application period has closed. 

14. Malmö University scholarships | Fully Funded Scholarships in Sweden

Each year, Malmö University offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified master students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who are required to pay tuition fees. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, experience and motivation. They cover partial or up to the full tuition fee but do not cover other expenses, such as living expenses.  

Students admitted to two-year programmes retain the scholarship for the second year if they successfully complete the first year of study and meet the progression criteria (minimum 22.5 credits a semester, minimum 45 credits an academic year).
