The International Water Association and Grundfos are pleased to invite young professionals to apply for the 2025 SDG 6 Fellowship. The Fellowship, held in London, Denmark and Scotland, is dedicated to empowering young professionals to contribute to sustainable water resource management. The SDG6 Fellowship 2025-2026 aims to address the needs and priorities of the water sector in a rapidly changing world.

SDG 6 embodies the sixth Sustainable Development Goal, which aims to ensure access to water and sanitation for all. This fully-funded Fellowship is fully covered and open to all citizens. Find out more below.

Number of Fellowships

The International Water Association (IWA) and Grundfos will select 14 Young Water Professionals (YWPs) from different countries.

Financial Benefits of the SDG 6 Fellowship

  • There is no fee required to register or participate.
  • The fellowship will provide round-trip airfare.

Eligibility Criteria for the SDG 6 Fellowship

  • Knowledge of key water issues at the local and international levels.
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to making a positive impact in the water sector.
  • Have leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative water solutions.
  • Strong command of English.
  • The applicant must not have previously participated in the IWA & Grundfos Youth Action Fellow programme.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • The applicant must be a member of IWA to be eligible for the Fellowship.
