The Simons Kotzen University Scholarship for the academic year 2025-2026 is a fully-funded scholarship dedicated to international students wishing to study at an undergraduate level. This scholarship covers full tuition fees, mandatory fees, accommodation, and food costs.

In addition, the scholarship recipients receive an additional annual grant of $3,000 to study abroad, summer training, short courses, or to support scientific research. This scholarship is awarded for four full years of full-time undergraduate study and replaces any previous scholarships. Students who meet the above criteria are also usually interested in the Simmons Honors Program.

Eligibility Criteria for Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships

Required Language: English.

Required Scores:

  • ACT: Score of 28 or higher.
  • New SAT: Score of 1300 or higher.
  • Old SAT (CR+M): Score of 1250 or higher.

Application: As a freshman for the fall semester.

Non-English speaking students: TOEFL and SAT or ACT scores must be submitted.

Curriculum: Must include advanced-level mathematics during or before the senior year of high school.

GPA: 3.3 or higher, unweighted.

Must have taken honors courses and advanced programs such as AP and IB, as available in the high school system.

How to Apply for Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships ?

  • Applicants must complete and submit both the admission and scholarship applications to the university by December 1st.
  • Students must email their essays and resume in PDF or Word Doc format to [email protected]. The subject line should read “Application for the Simmons Distinguished Scholar Award” and each page should include the student’s full name and date of birth. The deadline for this submission is also December 1st.
    Essay Writing:
  • Formal Essay (300-500 words): Write an essay describing your leadership style, providing specific examples that demonstrate the experiences that have shaped you as a leader, and how you expect to develop your leadership at Simmons.
  • Finalists selected for scholarship consideration will be asked to complete an on-campus interview in February. For international applicants who are unable to come to campus in person, the interview may be conducted via Skype.
