Admission requirements and eligibility criteria for applying for a Wageningen University scholarship

• The applicant must be a citizen of one of the African countries.
• The applicant must have applied to study for a master’s degree at Wageningen University before the program application deadline.
• The applicant must be among the top 5% of his or her class in the bachelor’s degree, with a grade of at least 80%.
• The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the program they wish to study.
• The applicant must have a grade equivalent to 80% or a cumulative GPA equal to 3.2 out of 4.

Proof of proficiency in English:

The applicant must have a certificate proving his proficiency in the English language, with the following grades as a minimum:

IELTS: 6.5, with a minimum of 6 for Speaking.
TOEFL IBT: 92, with a minimum of 23 for speaking.

Steps to apply for the Wageningen University Scholarship

• You must first apply to the desired master’s program at the university before the deadline has passed. To learn more about how to apply, see the instructions available here.
• In March 2024, the University will send letters to students who have been granted unconditional admission to master’s programmes. These students will then be invited to apply for the scholarship.
• From among the applicants, 20 people will be selected to participate in the final interview.
